After Israel was created, more than 7 million Palestinians became refugees and internally displaced people. Palestinians around the world call for the right of return to their homeland. How can return be achieved on the ground? And what are the practical possibilities for Palestinians?

“The right of return for Palestinian refugees is a fundamental issue in the realization of Palestinian rights, yet it is always labeled as an unrealistic ‘obstacle’ by Israel and within the international community. As a ‘right’ in both legal and moral terms, the right of return is undeniable, but what actually is needed for its implementation?
