At Makan, we are dedicated to facilitating transformative learning experiences centred around Palestinian and intersectional issues through our workshops, partnerships, and accessible online resources. We strive to provide a perspective that captures the history of the Palestinian struggle for liberation and the realities on the ground. Our aim is to support advocates as part of a community that is not only well-informed, interconnected, and empowered but also passionately committed to cultivating a future for Palestinians built on freedom, justice, and equality for all.

Our core workshops cover a variety of topics, helping participants to build their knowledge about Palestine, gain confidence in articulating key concepts, and learn how to debunk common misconceptions. Additionally, we run a series of intersectional workshops that focus on fostering an understanding of how the Palestinian cause intersects with other struggles and social justice movements around the world. 

We collaborate with a wide range of social justice and human rights organisations, trade unions, educational institutions, media outlets, and cultural groups. Our support aims to frame and articulate the Palestinian rights struggle, fostering a global discourse that promotes freedom, justice and equality for Palestinians. 

We provide students with educational resources, workshops, and training to deepen their understanding of Palestine. Our programmes equip them with the necessary skills to help them campaign, advocate and communicate effectively for Palestinian freedom.

Our virtual talks delve into topical issues relating to the Palestinian cause. They are designed to cultivate an inclusive space that amplifies Palestinian voices and offer an intersectional perspective.
