Makan – The Two-State Solution: State-Building as Pacification (Online Mini Lecture)
June 25 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

About this Mini Lecture:
With conversations about a two-state solution and establishing a Palestinian state picking up again between various Western powers and Saudi Arabia, this session aims to provide a critical historical overview of how the two-state framework emerged, from the Partition Plan to the Oslo Accords to the Abraham Accords to the new proposed French-Saudi conference. Through this, the session will explore how this framework as conceptualised by Western powers aims to co-opt the Palestinian struggle and entrench Israel’s power.
The session will include a 40 minute talk and a short Q&A.
Wednesday 25th June 2025, 6.30-7.30pm (BST)
